General Training and Work Experience

Ilze completed her B.A. (Psychology, Tourism and Recreation) Cum Laude as well as Higher Education Diploma (HED) at PU for CHE (currently known as North West University) in 2001. She furthermore completed B.Ed and M.Ed. (Educational Psychology) degrees at the University of Johannesburg. Her internship was conducted at Sparrow Foundation School, a special school with learners presenting challenges that include medical, physical, social and other learning challenges. She is currently doing her Ph.D. in Psychology Health Sciences Department of the North West University.

Ilze has performed as educator at secondary level - at various private and government institutions - and tertiary (university) level and is an expert presenter representing UJ at a PSYSSA conference as early as 2008. Ilze has received extensive training in the Educational Psychology, trauma and bodywork therapy, providing in a vast variety of specialised services during her psychological therapy sessions.
